German language students will be selling cupcakes for $3 during ALL lunch periods in the              Monday & Tuesday, October 10 & 11-
Grammar School and Logic & Rhetoric School on Thursday, October 13. Logic & Rhetoric                  No classes Pre-K—6th grade
students may customize their own cupcake with icing (including German chocolate!) and an              Wednesday, October 12-

ADVANCED LOGIC SCHOOL CANNED FOOD DRIVE                                                               Thursday, October 13-
Logic School (7th-8th) Student Council is sponsoring a canned food drive throughout the entire        CCA vs. Sacred Heart Muenster, home CCA
month of October. It’s a competition between 7th & 8th grade boys and 7th & 8th grade girls           JH 5:30
to see who can bring in the most canned foods. If the boys win, then Mrs. Harvell will dress like     Friday, October 14-

“THROUGH THE YEARS” BENEFIT CONCERT
Support CCA’s Foreign Language department by attending a benefit concert on Saturday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jireh Hall Cafeto-
rium. Come hear Classical, Christian, and Contemporary music “hits.” Acapella, Gershwin, Les Mis, and more! Donations will be
accepted.

YEARBOOK NEWS
Don’t forget to order your 2011-2012 yearbooks! Order forms are available in the attachment, in the Pre-Grammar, Grammar and Logic/
Rhetoric School offices, and on ParentsWeb under Resource Documents. Online ordering is also available using a credit card at
http://jostensyearbooks.com. The first order deadline is December 15 to take advantage of a $5 savings on personalization. Completed
order forms can be turned in with payment (cash or check) to any school office. Ordering a yearbook for your student would make a great

FINE ARTS NEWS
Have you marked your calendar for the Rhetoric School Fall Play? Thursday and Friday, October 28 and 29, our Rhetoric theater students
will be performing in Waiter, There’s Some Comedy in my Soup! Performances will be at 7:00 p.m. both nights in the Jireh Hall Cafetorium.
Adult tickets are $5 and student tickets are $3. You won’t want to miss this fun evening!

Make plans now to invite a girlfriend to our 2 nd annual “CCA Come as You Are Coffee” on First Friday, November 4
from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. There will be door prizes, food, fellowship, and an awesome speaker who will bless your slippers
off. Auction Gift Baskets will also be on display for viewing and bidding.

                                           “Covenant Chick’s Christmas Connection and Holiday Market” Enjoy a pre-Christmas shop-
                                           ping experience with all kinds of gift and craft items, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Jireh Hall
                                           Cafetorium. If you have a business with gift items you would like to sell, please fill out the
                                           attached Reservation Form and return it to Brenda Huckins in the Marketing Office. Cost for a
                                           booth space is $20.

CONCERT OPPORTUNITY
On Thursday, October 13, there will be a benefit concert to raise money for the program “Tree of Life.” In memory of Luke Steinmann, a
student from Faith Christian, who suffered from a brain aneurism and died earlier this year, friends are raising money to build a house in
Zambia, Africa to house 12-14 African children, getting them off the street. The house will be named “Luke’s Lighthouse.” To learn more

LOGIC & RHETORIC NEWS
Friday, October 14 will be a spirit wear day for 5th-12th grade students. Remember, it’s Black Out week! Black spirit shirts are not re-
quired but are encouraged as we all show our Cougar spirit. Go Cougars!

CONCERT OPPORTUNITY On Thursday, October 13, there will be a benefit concert to raise money for the program “Tree of Life.” In memory of Luke Steinmann, a student from Faith Christian, who suffered from a brain aneurism and died earlier this year, friends are raising money to build a house in Zambia, Africa to house 12-14 African children, getting them off the street.
