Parthenon The Parthenon was once one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the almost perfect building in its day (447 - 432 BCE). It was the temple built to honor the Greek goddess Athena on the hilltop overlooking Athens.

Athenians gave us the modern day democratic style of governance. However Greeks will always be remembered for their fascinating mythology. Conclusion

Notes de l'éditeur

  1. The Greek civilization began somewhere between 1900 and 1600 BC, however it reached its peak between the 5th and 4th centuries. The impact of accomplishments and contributions made by this civilization is still visible today. Even the civilizations like the Romans of the past and the western societies of the today have copied many aspects of the Greek civilization.
