     Motto: Go and make disciples of all nations ». (Mt 28,19)
     Place: Colégio Marista São José – Tijuca – Rio de Janeiro/RJ
     Organization involves:
             Preparatory stage
             IMYM
             Post-IMYM stage (Provinces/Districts)
1. GENERAL ASPECTS

                                      OBJECTIVES
General:
Offer the Marist youth of the world an experience of encounter, exchange, personal growth
  and connection, by means of a process of formation, solidarity activities and spirituality,
  in view of the International Marist Youth Meeting and The World Youth Day 2013.
Specifics:
 Assure a process of preparation by Marist youth for the IMYM and the WYD.
 Deepen the dimension of evangelizing internationality of Marist youth, in celebrating its
  richness and renewing the spirit of service and solidarity.
 Encourage the undertaking of the Institute to go to encounter its Marist roots, in view of
  the celebration of the bicentenary of its foundation, in 2017.
 Promote spaces of expression and exchange among young people, by the sharing of
  ‘dreams', questionings and realizations, in giving responses to the Institute and the calls
  of the XXI General Chapter.
 Offer young Marists an experience of inter-ecclesial living at the international level, by
  becoming a disciple-missionary after the example of Mary.

       o 10 youth
       o 2 responsible – Brother or Lay person
  Cost of registration : R$500,00 (five hundred Reals)
  Registration entitles to :
       o Participation in the IMYM as representative of the
          Province/District
       o Accommodation at the Colégio São José – Tijuca
       o Meals
       o IMYM kit
  Period for registration : from 1 October to 31 December 2012, made by
   the person in charge of Evangelization in the AU.

2. INTERNATIONAL MARIST YOUTH MEETING

 Criteria for participation :
   Be engaged in some Marist Youth Ministry experience
   Be 16 years and over*.
   Have taken part in the preparatory process.
   Valid authorization of family or responsible person.
   Official representative of the Marist Province or District of origin.
   Be ready for an experience of enculturation, hospitality, engagement with the
    poor, with youth, for the planet.
   Being available to live an experience of community, intense sharing, in a spirit
    of simplicity, as a true pilgrim.
   Be committed with regard to another possible world, from each one’s
    situation.

 Travel: International Airport Tom Jobim (Galeão)/ Marist College

      *It is necessary to pay attention to the international requirements for obtaining a visa
      and international travel relating to under 18 year olds.
2. INTERNATIONAL MARIST YOUTH MEETING
 What you need to bring:
       Sleeping bag or mat.
       Blankets.
       Sheets, face towel, bath towel.
       Articles of personal hygiene.
       Clothing and footwear for sport and outings.
       Sun hat and sun cream.
       Medications (for usual use or recommended by a doctor).
       Comfortable clothing, light jersey (minimum temperature in Rio de Janeiro
        in July: 17°).
       Radio FM with earphones (indispensible for following simultaneous translation
        during the IMYM or the WYD) or portable telephone equipped with radio FM
        frequencies.
       Material for the cultural presentation of the Province/District: pieces of music
        (of up to 5 minutes duration), typical clothing, etc.
       Souvenirs to exchange with other countries...
 Programming :
      Moments of teaching, spirituality, Marist vocation, sharing, experiences, cultural
       activities and much more!

 Period: 16 - 21 July 2013
 Invited: Marist youth from other countries coming to the WYD.
 Places: Belo Horizonte (100), Curitiba (120) and Porto Alegre (80).


                             What is on offer :

 Accommodation: in the Marist Centers (houses of meetings and College).
 Translation: volunteers.
 Meals: breakfast and dinner.
 21 July: own Marist programming.
 22 July: travel to Rio de Janeiro. On the account of each delegation.
 Costs: charged to the youth who goes into the Provinces to have the
  experience.
 Tax: each Province in Brazil will cover the costs of accommodation and food.

 What you need to bring:

 Welcome: on 22 July, all day
 Airports: Galeão (international) and Santos Dumont (national)
 Reception: College Marista São José – Tijuca
 Places: there will be 1,250 places, of which:
       • 350 for participants at the IMYM
        • 600 Marist Brasil
        • 300 other countries
 Registration:
       • It is proposed that ALL the Marist pilgrims are in the same sector.
        • Registration is made by the one in charge of the group via the IMYM site.
        • Send the photo of the participant and other information via the form*
          available on the site www.2013change.org .
        • Choice of the names of the youth who will attend the WYD.

                                     * It will be the same form used for WYD RIO 2013.
4. WORLD YOUTH DAY
   Registration :
          • Sending of names of youth and those responsible to Brasil (up to
            10/01/2013) to commence registration for the WYD.
          • Confirmation of the registration of the group by e-mail (25/01/2013).
          • Other Marist groups wishing to register for the WYD after 31/01, will have to
            get in contact with the Organizing Committee by e-mail:

INTERNATIONAL MARIST YOUTH MEETING  Criteria for participation :  Be engaged in some Marist Youth Ministry experience  Be 16 years and over*.  Have taken part in the preparatory process.  Valid authorization of family or responsible person.  Official representative of the Marist Province or District of origin.  Be ready for an experience of enculturation, hospitality, engagement with the poor, with youth, for the planet.  Being available to live an experience of community, intense sharing, in a spirit of simplicity, as a true pilgrim.  Be committed with regard to another possible world, from each one’s situation.  Travel: International Airport Tom Jobim (Galeão)/ Marist College *It is necessary to pay attention to the international requirements for obtaining a visa and international travel relating to under 18 year olds.

INTERNATIONAL MARIST YOUTH MEETING  What you need to bring:  Sleeping bag or mat.  Blankets.  Sheets, face towel, bath towel.  Articles of personal hygiene.  Clothing and footwear for sport and outings.  Sun hat and sun cream.  Medications (for usual use or recommended by a doctor).  Comfortable clothing, light jersey (minimum temperature in Rio de Janeiro in July: 17°).  Radio FM with earphones (indispensible for following simultaneous translation during the IMYM or the WYD) or portable telephone equipped with radio FM frequencies.  Material for the cultural presentation of the Province/District: pieces of music (of up to 5 minutes duration), typical clothing, etc.  Souvenirs to exchange with other countries...  Programming :  Moments of teaching, spirituality, Marist vocation, sharing, experiences, cultural activities and much more!

MISSIONARY WEEK / BEFORE THE DAY  Period: 16 - 21 July 2013  Invited: Marist youth from other countries coming to the WYD.  Places: Belo Horizonte (100), Curitiba (120) and Porto Alegre (80). What is on offer :  Accommodation: in the Marist Centers (houses of meetings and College).  Translation: volunteers.  Meals: breakfast and dinner.  21 July: own Marist programming.  22 July: travel to Rio de Janeiro. On the account of each delegation.  Costs: charged to the youth who goes into the Provinces to have the experience.  Tax: each Province in Brazil will cover the costs of accommodation and food.
