•If you need to write a research paper and don’t
I’ll never figure know where to begin… Fill out a “Request For

Information” form!
• If you need to write a bibliography, but don’t know
how… Pick up an “MLA or APA Style sheet
Form”!
• If you need to brainstorm your project with a
skilled researcher… Come talk to the Library Staff!
We are happy to help you to get off to a good start
on your research project, let us know how we can
help!
4. Checkout Books
• We have a great collection of books right
here in our library.
• Use the LIBROS System Online to check
your library account, renew books, and
search for other resources. Come by for a
quick LIBROS tutorial!
• We also have CD’s and DVD’s available
for checkout!
5. Interlibrary Loan
• Order books, journal articles
and other items not available in
the UNM-Taos Library.
• UNM-Taos Library has access
to some 10,000 other
libraries…and over 60 million
records!
• This service is FREE to UNM-
Taos students, staff and faculty.
• Receive items in 7-10 days.
6. Periodicals Collection
• Periodicals at UNM Taos include magazines,
newspapers, scholarly journals, and more!
• We also offer online access to research databases
including 100’s of scholarly and popular articles in their
full text as well as citations.
• Pick up the “UNM Taos Research Databases”
worksheet at the library and learn how to use this
exciting resource. You can also access this from your
home computer!
7. Learning • LRC has 14 PC’s for use on
Resource homework assignments, tutoring,
internet research, searching
Center databases & email.
• We have 1 Macintosh available
for student use as well.
•There is a copy machine with
black or white copies for $.10 and
color copies for $. 75. A scanner
and a typewriter are also
available.
•Klauer Campus also has 6 PC’s
available.

• Working with library patrons is exciting so
don’t hesitate to come in with questions.
• Make sure you take any opportunity you
have for a library orientation. Many
professors arrange for this, but if yours
doesn’t… Come in and we’ll do one for
