1. Evaluation.
Taking into consideration all of the different photography genres:
photojournalism, architecture, Macro, Abstract, Portrait, Fashion, Landscape,
wildlife, Aerial and Sports. I then took a few photos justfocusing on some
Abstract, Portrait, Architectural and Macro. Which I think was a really good
thing to do to give me some insight on what I wanted my exhibition to be on.
After thinking aboutit, I was sureI wanted to do either, landscape, portrait,
fashion, macro or abstract. And I even thought about maybemixing someof
them together. Then I decided that Abstractand Macro was whatI wanted to
explore further into.
I really liked the way, it focused on things closeup and fromdifferent strange
angles. Doing someresearch and putting together a collage of images about
Abstract. I had decided that my thoughts were more towards Abstract.

2. I then did a plan of my photo-shootand what I wanted my photos to look like. I
tried to usea variety of my own ideas mixed in with some research I had done.
I wanted to make my photo’s look as
colourfulas possibleas I liked the use of colour and reflections in the pictures. I
believed that the more detailed my plan the more set idea I could achieve but
also once I had capture the images I wanted, it would leave me with enough
time to explore moreways and producedifferent images that I had maybe
never thoughtof before.

3. Taking my photos, I decided to put them together with my slideshow
exhibition so that people could see the pictures I tried to take.
I thought that some related well with my image plan while others I had tried to
explore. For example, the brick wall was quiet an ordinary thing but using
different angles it produce a different effect which I thought was quiet quirky.
However, the word that was chalked into the brick wasn’tappropriate; I
therefore decided not to take the image further.
Choosing a few that I thought were really good and had potential, I started to
edit my six favourite photos.
I like this photo but more the effect I had used to producethis photo as it
could create a different meaning too many different things. I liked to believe,
the concept of the flower was to represent someone’s thoughts and ideas and

4. how they ‘bloom’ or ‘flower’ into something colour and so much different from
the ordinary world around them. Almost like thinking outside the box.
Kind of giving
this photo the same concept as the firstimage, I thought this was better
quality as you can really see the detail in the petals. The only thing, I don’t like
about this image is my finger holding it up in the position behind it, that you
can see in the left top corner. Even though it does blend well with the
background and is barely noticeable, I thoughtcropping it out would ruin the
image.
Taking the
image I had found online of a similar one to this, I tried to mimic it which I
thought with a little twerks to the contrastand brightness worked well. I
believe doing this effect added more depth underneath the leaf which is whatI
wanted. The detail of the leaf is of very high quality.

5. I used the
same effect I did in photos 1 and 2. However, I feel like this image doesn’t
sharethe sameconcept as image 1 and 2 have and I think if I had individually
selected the berries and made them red and left the rest of the picture black
and white would of worked better.
I choose this
photo as I thought it was the most natural image of them all. Without doing
much to this image, I ended up with a high quality picture that I thought
worked really well. However, this picture lacks any meaning behind it.

6. I do like this
image a lot because of the use of the colour. I faded the background a little bit
to add more colour and attention to the leaf, which I thoughtworked really
well.
Collecting people’s opinions through a questionnaire, I found out which images
people like the best. I asked them which five they liked the best.

7. Taking these results I came up with my final pieces that I was going to include
into my exhibition. Doing some research into what to call my exhibition and
how to presentit
.
I then gathered my images that people voted for and created my exhibition.
Overall, unit 9 went good for me. I felt like I worked my hardestto achieve this
and I am happy with the outcome. However, if I could do this again, I would
maybe try and explore my pictures a little more and take more of them. I think
the setting that I took my photos was very limited and if I had done them

8. somewherelike at home and prepared more for them, I think I could of
produced some morecreative photos.
