Dear AIESEC in Greece,
Over the past few months, having the chance to lead and serve the organization from a national perspective, watching it evolve
and move as a whole, withstanding any obstacle it may come across and remaining unmoved and unafraid in this challenging
environment , I couldn’t but feel mesmerized by its pure essence.
An essence that no matter what the circumstances, made the organization and its people commit to its calling and keep on
striving to fulfill its purpose every single day.
The people that I have met are the proof of what youth can achieve if it believes in its power and stand up for it. They represent
the part of young population that is different, innovative, promising and relieved from any kind of prejudice. They represent the
hope, the belief and the fire that is hidden inside all of us. These elements that if developed, can not only impact but transform
any society to its better version.
Through the conversations I had and the relationships I built and developed, I got to realize that people are the greatest asset in
an organization. And the future lies upon them. It lies in their constant development and continuous evolvement. Because you
can came across different opinions, stands and views of the world but every single member that is in this organization reflects
clear its values, drives the same behaviors and has the same vision. And this was what truly inspired me and will keep inspiring
me every day.
Every single story, every single act, every single smile makes me feel fulfilled and lucky to be living this experience and driving
me to move on. Watching my team, my functional, people in the LCs putting their best effort every day because they understand
what the country needs , they care to deliver it and they never stop believing that they can, kept on motivating me and engaging
me more and more. Because it is not often that you find such a platform that enables people to bring a positive change. I would
say it is rather rare. And that was the moment I realized the potential and the magic of it.
One breath away from 2015, I can see that the steps the organization has done so far, the way it has evolved in terms of
operations, culture and mindset, are the right steps. Focusing on what is important, focusing in delivering in the right way the
experiences it provides to people, is becoming every day more and more of this movement that will alter and shape the future
generations that when their turn comes they will be fully equipped to change the world.
And this kind of movement needs the right leader, the torch of light that will shine the way to achieve our dreams. The next 6
months are coming demanding from us nothing less than being extraordinary & commit to deliver only the best for the
organization. For ourselves, for our people , for AIESEC in Greece.
Yours truly,
Renata Pylarinou
