Each volleyball team has 6 players divided into front and back rows by the net separating the two sides of the court. A team scores a point if the opposing team fails to return the ball within 3 hits by hitting it out of bounds, into the ground, or hitting it more than 3 times. Play begins with a serve from the back-right player and teams rotate positions after each serve. The first team to score 21 points wins the game, and the match is won by the first team to win 2 out of 3 games.
