AMC assumes role of Senior Command for Redstone Arsenal
REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -‐-‐ In keeping with Army tradition that Senior Command authority
normally lies with the senior general officer on the installation, Headquarters, U.S. Army
Materiel Command assumed the Redstone Arsenal Senior Command role from Aviation and
Missile Life Cycle Management Command. AMC Commanding General Gen. Dennis L. Via made
the announcement during a Team Redstone Board of Directors meeting, Aug. 29.
Latest version of America's Army ready for download REDSTONE
ARSENAL, Ala. -‐-‐ The next version of the America's Army video game was released today and is
now available for download. Players can register their Soldier name for the game at the
America's Army: Proving Ground website, www.americasarmy.com, and then jump into the

402nd AFSB conducts four changes of command CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait
-‐-‐ The 402nd Army Field Support Brigade and its three battalions all have new leadership in a
grand slam of changes of command this summer.

Bryant, the Office of the Chief Legislative Liaison, visited Anniston Army Depot Aug. 28.
On the cutting edge ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT, Ala. -‐-‐ The men and women of ANAD's
workforce create parts for nearly every combat vehicle family overhauled or repaired on the
installation. From turret components for the Assault Breacher Vehicle to mine route clearance
equipment capable of being attached to a variety of vehicles or parts for a M1 Abrams tank,
employees have the expertise and equipment to tackle the task. And new equipment is making
the job quicker and easier.
ACC increases capability, activates contracting battalion ABERDEEN
PROVING GROUND, Md. -‐-‐ Army Contracting Command added more capability to its contracting
arsenal with the activation of the 926th Contingency Contracting Battalion. The new unit was
activated Aug. 27 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.
FSRs learn job skills TOBYHANNA ARMY DEPOT, Pa. -‐-‐ A Tactical Operations Center
(TOC) setup is used to teach Field Service Representatives (FSR) the complexities of their job
during an 18-‐week in-‐residence training course taught at Tobyhanna. It is used as a field
environment classroom to simulate the actual environment FSRs will encounter on the front
lines.
