Hide Your Fear
Many students are fearful of moving to a new
school, especially high school. If you will hide
your fear and act confident, you will soon lose
that fear and feel comfortable.

Many people become friends because they
have classes with each other. Strike up a
conversation or even ask for help and you can
make many friends.

Several students who lack organizational skills

could. A suggestion would be to have folders
or a binder separating all your classes.

A big part of being successful in most classes,
is taking good notes. Make sure you can read
your own handwriting and don’t skip steps of
a problem that you’ll forget later.

Even though that new video game came out
you still have to get your work done. Spend
some time on you homework, take a break,
and then come back and finish it.

Many students ignore the fact that how they
act in high school will affect their college
choices. If you do your work now it will pay off
later.

Take Classes that Interest you
Many students don’t take a class they’re
interested in because its not a popular
subject. Trying anything that interests you will
give you an advantage for choosing a college
degree.

Take Hard Subjects Now
If you don’t take any classes that challenge
you in high school, you could be in for a rude
awakening in college. Many classes in high
school are the same level of intelligence you
will experience in college.

Get Plenty of Sleep
The later you stay up, the more you’ll want to
sleep in class and could miss an important
topic that is continued throughout the class.
Finish you homework early while school is still
fresh on your mind and you can have some
free time before going to sleep.
