2. Originally founded in 1907, YMCA of the Rockies applies 5 core values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith, to shape numerous programs for families and individuals. During the past century, what was once a summer encampment, has grown to include accommodations, dining facilities, and activity centers at Estes Park Center, Snow Mountain Ranch, and Camp Chief Ouray. YMCA of the Rockies puts Christian Principles into practice through programs, staff and facilities in an environment that builds healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
3. Estes Park Center Snow Mountain Ranch Locations YMCA of the Rockies has two year round conference and vacation centers, as well as a traditional summer camp. Surrounded on three sides by Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park Center is a bustling 860-acre center. Near Grand Lake and Winter Park, is the laid-back 5,100-acre Snow Mountain Ranch. Camp Chief Ouray is located on the Snow Mountain Ranch Property. In addition to traditional overnight and day camps, CCO offers programs for families, seniors, women, and teens.
4. The Nordic Center Located near Winter Park, Snow Mountain Ranch offers visitors the powder and adventure of winter in Colorado with affordable rates. Snow Mountain Ranch has more than 100 kilometers of trails ready for snowshoers and Nordic skiers of all abilities. At the Nordic Center , members and overnight guests receive complimentary Nordic and snowshoe passes as well as admissions to the ice rink and tubing and sledding hill. Equipment rentals and lessons are also available.
5. Family Weekends YMCA of the Rockies aims to provide affordable getaways for families year round. During autumn, winter, and spring themed family weekend packages are available at both Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch . Included are two nights in one of the properties lodge rooms, buffet-style dining, special weekend activities, and additional seasonal activities. Popular themes, include the annual Fall and Winter Fest Weekends. Discounted rates are available to YMCA of the Rockies members.

7. Helping Hands and Hearts In addition to their own organization-wide outreach efforts, YMCA of the Rockies partners with multiple non- profit organizations such as Project Sanctuary, Adam’s Camp , the National Sports Center for the Disabled, CNI, and Heritage Camp . In 2011, YMCA of the Rockies announced the building of a permanent retreat center for Project Sanctuary at Snow Mountain Ranch. Project Sanctuary helps returning veterans and their families reconnect post-deployment with therapeutic retreats. Snow Mountain Ranch is also home to the National Sports Center for the Disabled Therapeutic Riding Center.

9. Cool Colorado Summers The solution to sweltering summer days can be found at YMCA of the Rockies. Summer in the mountains is a welcomed relief to many travelers, with cool fresh air and limitless outdoor adventures to explore. At YMCA of the Rockies guests can take advantage of the cooler climate with many free activities. The family can try disc golf and sand volleyball together or mom and dad can have solo adventures while the kids check out archery and rock climbing at day camp. Guests from states with scorching summers, like Texas and the Midwest, can finally enjoy summer in the great outdoors.

11. Creative Explorations At YMCA of the Rockies arts and crafts go far beyond macaroni jewelry, with two craft and design centers offering everything from ceramics to wood work. At Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch, kids and adults alike will be awed by the project choices on hand. Mosaics, beading, and the classic tie-dye are available year round, while other seasonal crafts, such as basket weaving and silk painting are primarily offered during the summer. Guests can learn new crafts during specialty classes such as glass fusion and leather work.
12. Military Getaway Packages In order to show their pride and appreciation for the men and women who serve our country, YMCA of the Rockies extends a special discount to those in the military and their families. Here families can escape the everyday stress while creating memories and building traditions for the future. Families can participate in everything from Nordic skiing and sleigh rides to mountain biking and mini golf. In 2011, YMCA of the Rockies was honored with the Raytheon Program Achievement Award for their military retreats program which partners with Project Sanctuary.

Family Reunion University YMCA of the Rockies understands that planning a family reunion can seem like a daunting task, that’s why they organize two Family Reunion University weekends every fall and one in winter. Classes help family members and event planners with strategies such as custom programming, marketing to your family, contract details, and more. Weekends are held in the fall and include two nights lodging, five meals, and all Family Reunion University classes.
