2.  MARKET ANALYSIS:
 Key benchmark indices edged higher after the government announced measures to boost India's
merchandise exports. Gains in Asian stocks triggered by reports that US President Barack Obama plans
to return early from his annual vacation to Hawaii in order to take part in talks to avert the fiscal cliff
of austerity measures due to take effect at the start of the year also boosted sentiment. The market
edged higher in early trade on higher Asians stocks. The market hovered in positive terrain in morning
trade. The market extended gains to hit fresh intraday high in mid-morning trade.
 the BSE Sensex was up 165.95 points or 0.86% to 19,421.04.
 The S&P CNX Nifty was up 49.85 points or 0.85% to 5,905.60
 From the 30-share Sensex pack, 22 stocks gained while the rest of them fell.
 The Union Cabinet today, 26 December 2012, approved a proposal of the Ministry of Shipping for
licensing of land to the concessionaries for seven projects taken up in the Public Private Partnership
(PPP) mode. Telecom stocks rose on renewed buying. Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), Reliance
Communications, Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel rose by 0.85% to 2.98%. MTNL was flat at Rs 27.05.
