Less than a year ago Criteo, which has grown 200.000% in five years, moved to a new building to accommodate its team, which doubles in size every 6 months. The sub tribes in the R&D department accommodated to the different territories in the unusual modern architecture. Or did the territories foster sub tribes and their subcultures? In this presentation we see a case of physical environment influencing cultural makeup and vice versa. We also show how group size tends to Dunbar's number for group satisfaction. Finally, we propose techniques to scaling groups beyond the 80 person chasm.
