 is an entactogenic drug of the phenethylamine
and amphetamine class of drugs.
(3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine)

and diminished anxiety.

1900s as intermediate chemical used in the
synthesis of a hydrastinine (a drug to control
bleeding from wounds).

 MDMA acts as a releasing agent of serotonin,
norepinephrine, and dopamine (DA).
 Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays an
important role in the regulation of mood,
sleep, pain, appetite, and other behaviors.
 The excess release of serotonin by MDMA
likely causes the mood elevating effects and
negative behavioral aftereffects for several
days after taking MDMA.

risks. And also the dose is often very
different.
