WORKPLACE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Situation
1. Ahmadreza Chitsas approached Raptor SSC to propose he be employed as an intern for a
period of no more than 120 hours as part of Canberra University’s Information Technology course
2. Raptor SSC agreed to ‘employ’ Ahmadreza Chitsas (Ahmadreza) as a member of our
software development team – specifically in support of our system testing regimes. In this capacity
Ahmadreza was required to:
a. develop his own test program based on guidance for our software development team
leader;
b. implement software testing activities in accordance with the plan;
c. conduct functionality testing of the software under development;
d. test data quality; and
e. usability testing.
Outcomes
3. Ahmadreza was a diligent and conscientious member of our development team. I believe he
has benefited from his internship with Raptor SSC by gaining practical experience in the following
work related areas:
a. he was required to create a software test plan to confirm and complement our own and this
he achieve with very good results;
b. he was exposed to our development software – ‘Live Code’; and
c. he was briefed on our quality assurance and risk management software requirements, and
as such, developed a deeper understanding of the functions of these governance processes as they
relate to business in general and our business and software processes specifically.
Practical skills
4. Ahmadreza demonstrated practical skill that helped us confirm and refine our software
products. He was both methodical and imaginative in his approach to implementing our testing
requirements. He applied our internal processes as requested and was able to effectively
communicate his ideas and issues as they arose.
5. Ahmadreza bought with him a perspective which we appreciated. He was able to view our
approach and developments critically and imaginatively and has raised questions relating to security
and functionality which we will continue to explore. We particularly appreciated his ability to
examine processes through the eyes of the uninitiated and to recommend practicable and workable
improvements to our systems layout and functionality form a user’s perspective.

6. Ahmadreza demonstrated the following attributes and qualities while working with the
Raptor SSC software development team:
a. He was polite and respectful at all times. He was punctual and while English is not his
‘mother tongue’ he was able to communicate effectively both socially over a coffee and
professionally in the office environment.
b. He was cognisant of our availability and supervisory capacity and demonstrated a degree of
flexibility which we appreciated. Around our availability he managed his workload well and
performed well up to our expectations.
c. He worked closely with our development team and was an easy fit as a team member. His
energy and work ethics were appreciated by all.
d. He was particularly interested in exploring our approach to quality systems and causal
analysis as pro -active processes for continuous improvement.
Conclusion
7. Ahmadreza applied himself with energy, enthusiasm and confidence as a member of the
Raptor SSC software testing team. His contributions were of course limited by his availability and
some course requirements but he was a very good ambassador for the UC program and we were
delighted to have him on our team during the internship.
