Step 1. Complete Application Form
Complete the Short-stay visa application f orm f or Schengen area and sign.
Step 2. Get Photographs:
Two (2) recent photographs of the applicant. The photographs should not be more than 6 months
old. The size should be 35mm x 40mm.
Step 3. Gather Required Documents:
1. An ordinary passport or other recognised travel document valid f or at least three months
f rom the expiry date of the visa applied f or. This document must have at least two empty
pages. Please bring previous passports, if any, and attach with application copies, on A4 size
paper, of used pages.
2. Photocopy of your national ID card
3. If you have been ref used a visa by an Embassy or High Commission in the last two years,
written explanation about reason f or trip and ref usal.
4. Third country nationals residing in Pakistan must provide supporting documents attesting to
the legality and the authorized duration of their residence here.
5. Original signed letter of the applicant’s company/employer stating name, position, salary,
duration of employment, address and contact numbers of the employer, purpose and duration
of visit to the Schengen state(s).

National Tax Number Certif icate (NTM) f or the previous two years and proof of income

An invitation letter f rom the private or public organisation established in France, in the
applicant’s name and indicating the trip dates.
8. Conf irmed hotel reservation.
9. Copy of f light booking(s).
10. Original AND copy of a travel medical insurance policy of not less than 30,000 Euros. The
policy must cover medical and hospitalisation expenses f or the entire period of valid stay on
Schengen territory as well as repatriation costs.
Step 4. Schedule Appointment for Biometrics and Interview
You must visit the nearest AEG Travel Services center to submit application and documents, pay visa
processing f ee and get the appointment f or interview at the French Embassy in Islamabad. You will
also be giving f ingerprints of both hands and photograph at the time of interview.
Step 5. Pay Visa Processing Fee:
You must pay the Visa processing f ee of PKR8571 in Cash only at the time of submitting application.
The f ee is dependent on the exchange rate of PKR and EURO and may change without notice. AEG
also charges service f ees f or their services to handle the visa applications.
Step 6. Attend Visa Interview
On the day of interview you must arrive at the Diplomatic Shuttle Service, 3rd Avenue, near Quaid-e-
Azam University Road, G-5, Islamabad to board the shuttle to the French Embassy. You must arrive
30 minutes bef ore the scheduled visa appointment time. You must bring original NIC, current and all
previous passports, Receipt issued by AEG and all necessary supporting documents with you to the
French Embassy. You will be asked about yourself and your visit to France during the interview. Visa
Counselor will keep the passport af ter the interview.
Step 7. Receive Passport
You will receive the passport with Schengen visa at the AEG visa center where you submitted your
application. It will take about two weeks bef ore you will receive your passport back.
