The Netherlands is a country full of colors and cultures and I, Aijolt Brongers, am proud to be a citizen of this country. Here's the famous festivals of this country. You can contact me here https://www.facebook.com/AijoltBrongersMediaSpecialist
2. Holland's Major Yearly Festival Is Carnival, Held In
February During The Period Preceding Lent. In Spite Of
Being A National Tradition, It Is Celebrated Much More
Extensively In The Southern Part Of The Country, Where
Many Businesses Remain Closed For Three Days Of
Parades, Singing, Drinking And Merrymaking.
3. In April, The Queen's Official Birthday Is Celebrated By A
Holiday And By Big Fairs Held In Amsterdam And Other
Major Towns And Cities.
4. On 4th May The Country Remembers The Dead Holiday In
Memory Of All The Dutch Soldiers And Civilians Who Lost
Their Lives In The Second World War. This Is Marked By A
Two-minute Silence Over The Country At 8 P.M.
On 5th May The Country Celebrates Liberation Day In
Memory Of Its Liberation From Occupation In 1945, Although
It Is No Longer The Case, As In The Past, That All Businesses
Close On This Day.
5. The Most Estimated Festival Of The Year For Children Is
The Arrival Of Sinerklaas, Or St Nicholas, Who Brings
Gifts On The Eve Of 6th December On His Birthday.
Considered The Patron Saint Of Children In The
Netherlands, This Character Is Much Similar To Santa
Claus, But Is Believed To Reside In Spain Rather Than
The North Pole.
6. These Are The Most Celebrated And Popular
Festivals Of The Netherlands, A Country Rich In
Culture.
I, Aijolt Brongers, Am Extremely Proud Of My
Country.
