This summer, try an OLA Forest of Reading 2014 Evergreen nominee.
The Evergreen Award Program was introduced in 2005 by the Ontario
Library Association (OLA) to give adults the opportunity to vote for a
work of Canadian fiction or non-fiction they like the most.
The nominees are:

The winner of the Forest of Reading 2014 Evergreen Award will be
chosen during Ontario Public Library Week in October 2014.
Voting will take place on our website from Oct. 19 to 25.

interactions with each other, engage in hands-on technology teaching and learning, and feel empowered to
embrace life with a new zest and zeal.
We will be looking for volunteers to help with this new program, including older adults, early retirees, baby
boomers, seniors, and those affiliated with local community groups or that use technology regularly.
Ask staff for a volunteer form beginning July 3. More details to come!

An in-depth look at various interview styles used today and review of some of
the tough questions employers ask. Learn how to answer questions effectively
using the STAR formula, handle illegal and awkward questions tactfully, and
prepare questions you can ask. You will leave this session armed with the tips
and tools you need to handle interviewers with confidence and care. Further
opportunity to practice interview questions during a feedback session with a
Career Specialist will be scheduled by the vpi office.
