It has been my pleasure and privilege to have workedwith Alexander Perez for nearly two years in the
televisionproductionfield. In fact, I have been hissupervisor during that time and consider him one of
the most reliable and productive individuals that I have encountered throughout my thirty years in the
industry.
I first met Alexander when he was serving as still photographer for a high-profile city event. He
immediatelystruck me as a true professional- unobtrusive,accommodating and willing to go above and
beyond for the perfect shot. Which is to say, get the best result possible for the client. Later, I had the
opportunitytointerviewhimforaninternshipatAuroraCommunityTelevision. Irememberedhimfrom
before and became evenfurther impressed throughout the interview process. Needless to say, he was
hired and granted the opportunity to enhance his production skills at the station.
Duringhistime atAuroraCommunityTelevision, Alexanderhasnotonlybeenabletoassistinmaintaining
the regular flow of productions and related activities, but also to innovate. It was his wherewithal and
enthusiasmthatbrought short-format,highresolution,DSLR,‘mini-documentaries’ tothe fore forus. He
beganbyshooting,intandem,standardcityeventswithhispersonal DSLRcameraandlateredited those
into3-4minute shortvideosthatsupplementedandhelpedpromote theevents. Theseprovedsopopular
that ACTV purchaseditsownDSLR camera and beganproducingshort-formvideosasamatterof course.
In addition to his technical prowess, Alexander has demonstrated what is critical to all businessesand
successful organizations,andthatisasincereattentiontothe customer,whoeverthat mightbe. Whether
it is an internal customerfromanother department withinthe organizationoran external customerlike
the average citizenorresident,he knowswhatitisliketobe onbothsidesof the equationandistherefore
able todeliverextraordinary‘customerservice.’ He hasbeenanasset tomyself,theCityof Aurora,Aurora
Community Television and those that he has come in contact with. Alexander Perez will make a strong
