Referencing is always an issue in regards to assignments. MS WORD has an invaluable tool to make the Table of Contents, in text referencing and Bibliographies a "breeze"

1. How to set up a
Word Document
for Assignment
purposes

6. Click on Heading 1

7. Right click on modify
Change font
Arial 12

10. Paragraph numbering & sub paragraphs

11. Go to references tab
Table of Contents
Select one of the
formats
Go to the beginning of your document, after the title page.

12. Your table of Contents is now added to your document

13. As you work through your document you can click on “update entire table”

17. Go to insert
Click on page number
Choose numbering
system

18. Once you have chosen your page numbering
System, click on close header

19. Go to end of document and select references tab
Choose style of Bibliography

20. Bibliography now ready for you to do your referencing. Similar to
Table of Contents you need to update as you work.

available once your assignment
done and you are ready with all
your readings and referencing.
