Fancy Four: Meeting Number 2 Saturday, March 12, 2011 7pm
Topic of Discussion #1: Group Name Any name ideas are welcome I chose Fancy because it wasn’t typical and it started with the same letter as Four I would prefer that it be somewhat attached to those criteria, but the group isn’t just about me so whatever we can all come up with and like, works.
Topic of Discussion #2: Summer Study Group for Anatomy and Physiology I know the last thing we all want to do during the summer is study, but I think this has the potential to save us from struggling immensely with Anatomy this coming school year. I’m proposing that we all meet once a week (potentially more depending on workload; preferably during the week) each week this summer to begin to learn about Anatomy. I’ll get the name of the book CLS uses and look for it online on Amazon or something so we can all purchase it (it may not end up being exact)and utilize even when we’re not having a meeting. We can create our own summer school by assigning reading, making worksheets, taking quizzes, memorizing terms, coloring pictures, etc. If we do this consistently, we should be able to cover a lot of the book and enter the year already ahead. This will help because we won’t have to spend so much time studying for tests and also if we don’t have a lot of study time, it will make it easier.
Topic of Discussion #3: Gardens for Good/Summer Volunteer Hours I’m sure you’re all wondering what Gardens for Good is. Well, wonder no more! Read on! Gardens for Good is an idea that I came up with about 2 years ago to help providefresh, organic vegetables for those in need. There’s a food pantry by my house and I’ve been wanting to partner with them and donate food. I just haven’t had a chance to get this idea up and running. Location: my house People involved: my family, Fancy Four, plus potentially some other classmates and seniors (now jrs) I have started creating a flyer for it, but it’s not done. It’s also a good way for you guys to learn a ton about plants and for me to learn more!
Topic of Discussion #4: Sleepovers/Study Groups We already started to discuss this topic, but we need to talk about it more. April would be a good month to start. When we have final exams, we don’t necessarily have to have a sleepover, but we do need to get together to study. History is gonna be killer!
