Franklin County Farmer's Market
Franklin County Farmer's Market is back! It would be great if you and your families came
to support your local farmers and their farms at our local market. This newsletter will
serve to recognize the hard-working farmers in the area, a delicious recipe or two
containing a vegetable or fruit from the Market and what may be available each week at
the Market.
The market is located in the Shannon Village shopping center
parking lot. Every Tuesday and Friday the Farmer's market will
open at 9:00 am and will shut down once the last fruit or
veggie is sold. On Saturday, the market will open at 8:00am.

Food Tasting for the Community
We had the pleasure of co-hosting Food Tasting for the Community with two amazing chefs,
Mr. Jim Pfifferling and Ms. Tamika Houze, from Louisburg college.
Last Friday, Mr. Pffifferling demonstrated for us how to create another version of our traditional
Southern potato salad. If you didn't get a chance to try it first hand, here is a link to the recipe
so you may try it at home
We would like to thank Mrs. Peggy Wood and Mr. Tommy Neal for donating the red potatoes
and the jalapenos for the chef's tasting.
Thank you all for supporting our Food Tasting for the community and we hope you will continue
to support the local Farmers market weekly!
