Overview The project has Onsite/Offshore Model, so team coordination is vital part of the
project. This project is an outsourcing venture by Chrysler Group. Project scope
starts from system analysis, Data warehouse/Marts designing, and ETL
construction for various layers of data warehouse to reports and universe
development, maintenance and user support for various BI applications.
The project is based on Business Intelligence technology. It involves Extraction,
Transformation and Load (ETL) of the data from various source systems. The
challenge in the project is maintaining the data accurately and presenting it to the
End customer in most suitable format so that decision making becomes easy
and effective.
The projects involved go across all functional areas of business like
Manufacturimg, Sales and Marketing , Supply Chain and Finance , Legal and
Audit.

3. Project 1: Business Center Finance Reporting (BCFR) (Feb’15 – till date) Auburn Hills , MI
Role : Datastage Lead and Developer (Primary)

Description :Business Center Finance Reporting is the application which focuses on various
business metrics like Sales , Market Share , Sales Advocacy etc. to evaluate
performance of Business Centers / districts and pay bonus to respective area
managers based on the same.
Responsibilities:
• Worked with business to understand requirements and map it to technical BRD.
• Worked on data modelling of data warehouse and mart tables
• Worked with Database architects to tune the performance of complex queries.
• Developed parallel ETL jobs in Datastage 8.5 and then migrated to Datastage 11.3
• Developed Unix scripts to automate loads of various metrics
• Performed testing of ETL jobs and checked end to end data flow to ensure accuracy of
data and various complex calculations.
• Designed BO universe based on the mart tables.
• Developed Scorecard reports in BO based on the mart tables and published them on
InfoView.
• Provided support for BCFR (Offshore – Onsite model) and resolved issues on priority
basis.
• Currently working on BO to Cognos conversion
Project 2 : IDR (Identify, Discover and Report) (Jun’14 – Feb’15) Auburn Hills, MI
Role : Datastage Developer

Description : IDR (Identify, Discover and Report) system is best example of data integration of
various business areas across Chrysler and an attempt to provide single source of truth
to almost all the metrics that drive business. The project was a grand success and
appreciated by Finance Director of Chrysler.
Responsibilities:
• Contributed in data modelling of data warehouse and mart tables to best suit the
requirement of storing variety of metrics across all business areas.
• Contributed in system to system comparison to ensure data integrity and avoid data
redundancy.
• Developed parallel ETL jobs in Datastage 8.5 and then migrated to Datastage 11.3
• Linked datastage jobs with qlikview tasks schedule trigger.

4. • Developed Unix scripts to automate various third party vendor initiated loads to make
data available for reporting as soon as possible with minimum manual intervention.
• Worked of data load status dashboard to give visibility of metric availability to business.
• Implemented data validity checks using datastage to make sure IDR is in synch with N
number of source systems.
• Contributed in PoC involving Autosys scheduling system to monitor IDR jobs.

Description : Incentives Decision Support System deals with incentive programs launched by FCA
for its dealers to improve sales performance. IDSS is SOX complaint system and its
finance based reporting has major impact on FCA’s incentive payments across all
markets – USA / Canada / Mexico.
Responsibilities:
• Worked with business to understand incentives payment workflow.
• Analyzed mainframes system and jobs to understand data flow and dependencies.
• Worked on data modelling of data warehouse and mart tables.
• Setup security – both OS and database side to ensure SOX compliance.
• Developed parallel ETL jobs in Datastage 8.5 and then migrated to Datastage 11.3
• Developed Unix scripts to automate trigger from mainframes to ETL.
• Performed end to end rigorous testing of ETL workflow to ensure that incentives data is
available for reporting and is in synch with operational source system.
• Implemented Financial Audit mechanism to ensure data integrity after every data load
cycle.
• Designed BO universe based on the mart tables and implemented SOX security in
BO environment.

5. Project 4 : Dealer Operations and Finance System (Jun’11 – Dec’13) Mumbai
Role : Datastage Developer

Description : Dealer operations system deals with information pertaining to Chrysler dealer network
and financial statements sent by dealers to Chrysler which are used by business to
track dealer’s performance based on around 1300 metrics. This project is integral part
of Chrysler’s dealer interaction and played important role in Chrysler – FIAT integration
as far as dealerships are concerned.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzed mainframes system and jobs to understand data flow and dependencies.
• Contributed in data modelling of data warehouse and mart tables to best suit the
requirement of storing 1300 metrics per dealer per month.
• Developed parallel ETL jobs in Datastage 8.5 and then migrated to Datastage 11.3
• Developed Unix scripts to automate sales close activities and process composite
financial statements data.
• Implemented Control table mechanism to keep mart system in synch with source
system.
• Implemented Financial Audit mechanism to ensure that financial statements are not
missed and data is up-to-date.
• Improved ETL processing time by implementing cluster based partitioning on target
tables and using the same in datastage.
• Provided support for Dealer Ops and resolved issues by coordinating with offshore.

• Worked as BO Developer involving report development, universe design for
various applications like IDW,FVI SIRIUS and MOPAR.
• Worked as BO developer on a complex report called “Dealer Scorecard”
which involved 12-15 subject areas each with various sources. All these
subject areas KPIs are being displayed in single report with 20-24 data
providers. The report is published on existing web based portal, so
deployment was challenging.
• Resolved Customer Complaints in the form of Tickets.

6. • Carried out Testing and Review of ongoing development work
• Helped in induction process of new team members.
• Handled responsibility of “Developer Lead “for critical “BC Realignment”
project which had Chrysler wide impact at highest level. Right from intial
planning, analysis to launch was a challenging process. Needed to work
continuously for 36 hrs on deployment day in order make overall process
smooth. Received many appreciations including the one from highest IT
manager of Chrysler.At offshore, worked as Module Lead handling team of
7 associates and ensure on time deliveries across the module.
