A survey was conducted with 15 males and 15 females on music parodies. The results showed that most respondents were between the ages of 15-25 and had listened to a parody before, finding the amusing lyrics and funny accompanying videos most appealing. The majority access parodies on YouTube and find new ones by searching for existing songs they like plus "parody". Weird Al Yankovic, Chris Moyles and The Key of Awesome were the most known parody artists and respondents expected parody music videos, lyrics, downloads and artist bios on a parody website.
