4. Hard magnets
Hard magnet made of steel, is
made difficult yet powerful and permanent nature
magnetism.
Example: Cassette and Compass
5. Soft magnet
Usually made of soft magnetic iron soft, easy to
make but magnetism weak and transient nature.
Example: electric bell and a tool to remove iron
6. Magnetic Field
The magnetic field is the region around a
magnet that is still influenced by the magnetic
force
7. Magnet materials
Based magnetism, the object is classified into:
Magnetic materials (ferromagnetic), which is a
strong material that can be drawn by a
magnet. Examples of iron and steel
Non-magnetic materials
- Paramagnetic, is weak material drawn by a
magnet. Examples of alumunium and wood
- Diamagnetik, is material that is rejected by
the magnet. examples of gold
8. Parts of the magnet
magnetic poles
Magnetic poles: the end of
the magnet that has
the most powerful
magnetic force (south and
north)
Magnetic axis: of the magnetic axis
a line connecting the
two poles of a magnet
9. In a magnet, elementary
magnets arranged neatly and
direction. Giving rise to the
magnetic poles
In the iron is not magnetic,
elementary magnets
arranged in different
directions. So can not cause
the magnetic poles.
10. Making Magnets
There are three ways
to prepare elementary magnets (made magnetic)
First : rubbed with a magnet
Second : induced by the magnetic
Third : by using a DC electric current
