- IPM stands for Integrated Pest Management. Usually enters the scene “after the fact”, translates into I’ve planted all these wonderful plants in the wrong spot and now I MUST make them live OR Ewe, what is this stuff all over my tree? Can I just spray something? In other words; a short-term view.
- When involved with a “landscape company”, this is a frequent phone-ringing event. It can be a tool to assist you in servicing customers…a constant way of doing business, a part of or another way of saying PHC. Look at page 129 of your text… Some “thing” caused your client to call you with a “problem”. ..

- Could be this… Either way, you will have to talk with your client, gather enough information from them and their fears, the plant and its symptoms and the site and perhaps surrounding sites in order to make an appropriate recommendation for treatment of the situation. This could be anything from do nothing to removal of the plant.

- Dipel Pro’s active ingredient is a form of Bt. You can do this. Do not be intimidated by the fact that these products aren’t trees. If you aren’t already working in the industry, and maybe if you are… you will find that you learn a particular product for particular situations. Colleagues, growers, sales reps for mfgs all become valuable resources when chemicals enter the picture. I’ll repeat, you need to study this section, but don’t dwell on it or stress yourself out over it. Choose a product that you are familiar with, know what type (I.e. soap, oil, botanical,etc) it is and remember how it works. Take a breath, calm your nerves, think and answer the question.
