1. Gloucestershire College – Website CRM development project
Back in October we provided an update on how Gloucestershire College were
researching and developing their new website and internal CRM system, which is
hosted in the cloud, as part of a wider digital marketing strategy.
The new website is now live, with ongoing work to finalise smaller aspects of the site,
such as; departmental showcases, on-line chats, virtual tours and general
photography and video improvements. These are due for completion in March 2014.
The next phase of the project will look at incorporating the existing College MIS and
the e-commerce functionality for on-line purchase of courses and products. The
project is still on track for the new CRM system to be ready for July 2014.
The website has been created with Nudge marketing campaigns to help encourage
on-line application completion and for learners to begin pre-enrolment. The
application process is now much simpler and has been integrated with social media
platforms
2. Gloucestershire College have also started a spin-off project whereby improvements
have been made to the curriculum data, with the ability to re-build the curriculum
planner during the academic year.
In the next six months the college hope to have completed the final development of
their website and have the new CRM system built and ready for user testing.
The college are keen to test the effectiveness of the new website and CRM internally
and will be distributing surveys and using analytics tools to gauge user experience
and strategic improvements. After the first 6-9 months the college will be in a position
to show the sector what they have achieved and the additional learning taken from
the project.
