Apollo Munich Health Insurance was awarded Health Insurance Company of the Year' and 'The Technology Maturity Award ' for its thriving business growth in FY12-13 and Health and Wellness Management technology platform.

Dear Apollo Family,
In the year 2000, at Aragonda, my native village, Apollo Hospitals had introduced an
innovative insurance model wherein, an individual had to pay just one rupee a day as
premium for health insurance. This innovation introduced a culture of health insurance
and over the years, numerous States across India have emulated the model and it has
proven to be the genesis of the present day community health insurance schemes prevalent
in our country.
Apollo Munich Health Insurance, our joint venture with Munich Health has been built on
the same strong foundation of insurance and healthcare delivery competencies. This
unparalleled strength has repeatedly attracted laurels from many forums in India and
overseas. Once again, June 2013 has been a month of awards and accolades for our Apollo
Munich Health Insurance.
On June 21, 2013 at Mumbai, Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company triumphed at
the Third Edition of ‘The Indian Insurance Awards’ and was conferred the honors in
two categories as detailed below:
1. The Health Insurance Company of the Year Award
Apollo Munich Health Insurance was adjudged Health Insurance Company of the
Year on the back of robust business growth in FY12-13 across a variety of parameters and
a high commitment towards customer service in terms of efficient claims settlement and
showing innovative approaches to product and technology management and customer
engagement. This award honors the leading health insurer of the country with overall
leadership in revenues, product mix; customer mix and business model effectiveness.

2. The Technology Maturity Award
Apollo Munich Health Insurance was also honored with The Technology Maturity Award
for instituting a robust Health and Wellness Management technology platform – that
integrates health, lifestyle, wellness and insurance under one roof, allowing the company to
become a ‘health management partner’ by providing opportunities for deep levels of
engagement and thought leadership with its customers. This award honors technology
leadership aligned with business goals for service offering/solution that has a direct impact
on operational efficiencies, business growth or both.

The leading business daily, Economic Times conducts a survey of ‘India’s Best Companies
To Work For’ and the newspaper’s special supplement dated 24-06-13 announced that
Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company was ranked as the Best General Insurance
Company and among the Top 25 best places to work for in India reaffirming the value
that the Apollo Hospitals Group places on employee care and welfare.
It is said that recognition is the greatest motivator, so let these awards and accolades
