2. Fox Sports Net
Six large-scale basketball paintings were
created for a National Basketball Video To view the NBA Fox
Association (NBA) Fox Sports Network Sports Net Commercial

Fox Sports commissioned me to paint three large-

St. Louis, Missouri
Lester's Sports Bar & Grill in the
Central West End of St. Louis
The portrait of St. Louis Cardinals,
Stan Musial, the premier sports
figure in St Louis. The painting is
the focal point of the entrance to the
sports bar.
Known for his modesty and
sportsmanship, Musial was selected
for the Major League Baseball All-
Century Team in 1999.
The Stan Musial Painting is 30” x 40” acrylic on

Bar For Kids “offering sweets

display in one of their ice cream

during a broadcast of the MLB

10. Rumba (Sports Art – Boxing)
I was asked to do a show at
Gallery Show
Rumba in Santa Monica, Ca.
and chose to paint and draw
over 40 pieces of art for the
month long show.
When I was a child I loved to
watch boxing with my dad.
watched "Gillette Friday Night
Fights", "The Saturday Night
Fights" and "The Wednesday
Night Fights." These were the
golden days of boxing with the
great fighter like Sugar Ray
Robinson, Archie Moore, Jersey
Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Joe
Louis, Rocky Marciano, etc. And
I still have a great interest in
boxing and continue to watch
fights on a regular basis. Photos

degree in English Literature from
California State University,
Northridge. He was a senior
executive with a large retail
cooperation for over 23 years. In
1991 John left the world of business
