• JSR – Java Specification Requests, a proposal made in
Java Community Process (JCP)
• JCP was established in 1998.
• JCP allows interested people or group of people to
develop standard technical specification for Java
technology.
• JSRs are formal documents explaining technical
specifications proposed to be added to Java Platform.
