CHOICES - Your Choice!
Confirmation is defined as "with firm-ness".

Confirmation means accepting responsibility
for your faith and your choices in life.
Childhood is a time when you're told what to
do.

Young adulthood and teenage years are
times when you must do what is right on your
own.

The choices you make are made not for
recognition or reward but for choosing the
right thing to do.


Confirms our Baptism
✦ Confirmation means to make firm or solid what
has gone before and what our parents, families, and
God have done.

✦ Before refers to our Baptism and in a broader
sense to all our faith journey up to this point. Many
of us were baptized as babies, although some of us

We are not re-baptized!
We recognize the gift of baptism from other
Christian faiths.

opportunity to be baptized
as part of the
Confirmation Service!

Confirmation Day
✦ Confirmation is part of a service at
our church.

✦ God’s Love is poured out upon us
during Confirmation.

✦ Confirmation is done with the laying
on of hands and a prayer that the Holy
Spirit would work in your life.

✦ If you choose to be confirmed, you
will become a professing member of
Christ's universal church.

✦ The United Methodist Church, and
our congregation, and you will be
commissioned for a life of Christian
discipleship and service.


Live Your FAITH!
✦ We are old enough to contribute to the life
of our congregation and to live our faith in the
world. We have been part of the church
since we were baptized.

✦ Confirmation allows us to be part of the
church because it is what WE decide and
desire. It is your decision to claim the name
Christian.

✦ When we profess our faith, God's Spirit
through the church confirms us in faith! Are
you ready to make your own commitment to
faith? Your journey begins with confirmation
as you endeavor to make God an integral
part of your life.
