KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN DETAIL ENGINEERING PROJECTS:
1. Study & review of tender documents, contract requirement & technical
correspondence submitted in the proposal stage.
2. Review & study of technical specifications, process data sheets , piping
material specifications ,P&IDs, plot plans , general arrangements drawings,
control room layouts, hazardous area classification drawings , fire & gas
detection layout drawings etc provided during proposal stage.
3. Preparation of E&I scope matrix as per contract requirements.
4. Preparation of technical enquiry requests like technical specifications & data
sheets for field instruments,analysers,F&G system ESD systems & PLC
system.
5. Preparation of technical queries with consultation of OEMs deviations to
resolve the discrepancies from the tender documents with client if required.
6. Preparation of initial bill of material, system architectures, technical layout &
drawings for approval client.
7. Preparation of technical enquiry requests to the vendors & participate in the
technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Technically bid evaluation of all

2. vendor offers by reviewing vendor documents, design calculations &
drawings to ensure vendor specification meet with the client.
8. Participation in the preparation of Plot plans, isometric drawings, GA
drawings & technical documents for internal discipline checks & coordinate
with other engineering disciplines for proper installation of instruments &
their inputs.
9. Involved in control valve & on/off specifications.
10. Segregation of I/O list, junction boxes & assignment of modules.
11. Meeting with vendor representatives , inspect vendor works & work shops.
12. Selection of Instrument & PLC systems requirement.
13. Preparation of Instrument List/schedules, Input/output List & interfacing of
various field instruments to PLC/DCS, control philosophy, cause, effect &
alarm schedule,junction box schedule , Instrument & Junction location plan.
14. Participation in HAZOP meeting & SIL studies with the client & representative
of other engineering disciplines.
15. Preparation of purchase requisition for the procurement of instruments.
16. Technical discussion with vendors & bid evaluation of technical control
systems like PLC systems,SCADA & others systems.
17. Reviewing of panel & cabinet marshalling & system cabinet drawings.
18. Checking of Equipment GA & isometric to ensure correct installation of
various instruments with all departments (Mechanical ,Process, Electrical &
Civil).
19. Checking of cable routines.
20. Preparation of cable schedule from field instrument to control room.
21. Review & checking of vendor submitted panel GA of control panel ,Electrical
panels ,ESD panals,SLD,Power distribution & termination wiring drawings as
per the requirements.
22. Review of Hook up drawing & bill of material for instrument installation.
23. Inspections of various PLC systems and Instruments as per the Approved
data sheet & QAP.
24. Installation & Commissioning support.
25. Checking and Inspection of the Factory acceptance test and Site acceptance
test.

1) Bulk terminal automation plants: which includes custody metering
skids,Tankfarm management system, MOVs,Process PLC systems,ESD/SIL
