Firstly, we want people who are passionate about movies and TV shows – who have spent
weekends binge-watching; who fiddle with systems to get the best audio and video quality; who
remember favourite movie quotes and can vigorously debate the virtues of TV characters. Mostly, we
want people who are truly passionate about joining our revolutionary cause to redefine how people in
emerging markets consume entertainment. We want crazies who see a future that does not exist, and
are maniacally-driven to build it.

5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT

You’re not a fan of entertainment. TV shows? Movies? Ain’t nobody got time for that! But let’s face
it; sometimes you just need a little mental/physical stimulation. Nothing beats watching Keanu
Reeves for an hour and a half straight (mental stimulation) or feel your body tingle every time Meg
Ryan’s nose crinkles when she smiles (physical stimulation). iflix is made of serious movie buffs. Can’t
believe we get paid to watch stuff all day as part of our jobs.
Reason #4
You like being told what to do. You want orders hurled your way? Join the Army. You like your shows
decided for you? Just switch on your TV. We do things a little differently here. We trust everyone to do
what they need to do. This could mean allowing the flexibility to work from home/from on top of a
mountain/from a boat in the middle of the sea. And once a year, on their birthdays, every one at iflix
gets a treat of their choice. Like a spa session, or tickets to Disneyland, or ten pints of ice cream. This
last part isn’t true… yet. But we hope it will be. Once the CEO reads this?

You’re allergic to challenges. You avoid it like the plague. You like things to be easy. Sorry, but this just
isn’t how we roll. Challenges, like being civil before our morning coffee or changing the landscape of
entertainment in Southeast Asia, is met head-on equally. The tougher it gets, the more determined
we become.

You hate having fun. Fun is the enemy. You’d rather die than make work enjoyable. One should
suffer (slowly and painfully) in one’s job. You believe that a job that makes you happy is not a ‘real
job’. Well, we call bullsh*t on that! We show up every day, work our butts off and have fun doing it.
The impromptu cartwheels in the office are testament to that.

You really don’t get this list. Why are you telling me NOT to join iflix? Is iflix that bad to work at? Are
you guys insane? Is this a joke? Let’s see. We’re looking for the right kind of people to be part of iflix.
iflix is a really cool place to work at. No, we’re not. Well okay, maybe a little. And yes, it is. Having
a sense of humour is something that goes a long way here at iflix. Ditto for having a playful side.
