PROPHETIC WORD FROM STEVEN BLISS: Keep Looking
It is time for you to get up. Arise from your place and come sit with me.
I have a place for you. You are no longer dead, but alive.
For too long you’ve set aside the dreams I’ve given you. You let them sit so long
that you’ve forgotten, left them as if dead. Arise and walk in new strength.
Do not be complacent. Speak my words aloud. Stir up your spirit. It is time.
Shake off the dormancy. Exercise what I have within you that you may grow.
I say to you, get up. Open your eyes and reach out your hands. The kingdom of
heaven is at hand.
On Sunday June the 5th one of our people who speaks in the prophetic began to give a
word. As he was speaking God began to reveal and show me a tree…a huge tree full of
ripened fruit. People were down under this tree with baskets, large aprons held open;
some had their hands outstretched and lifted up. All were looking up with great
expectance and anticipation on their faces. Then there was a group of people with their
hands shoved deep in their pockets, faces downcast and not looking up. Then I saw a hand
reach down and begin to shake the tree.
The Lord says the harvest is ready – now is the time to bring in the harvest. See, I am
shaking the fields, I am shaking the trees. The Lord says that a great sifting, shifting and
transitioning is now taking place… Shirley Riser
The ways we maintain Access are detailed in Romans 5:
We stand in grace [not works]
We rejoice in hope [lift up your expectation]
We glory in tribulation [get up, get out and get over]
We experience the power of patience
Remember that the definition of wealth is A + C + I = W
Access + Confidence + Influence = Wealth
Revealing the God of “I Can”
Pay attention to the Weddings in your Life. At Weddings, God does miracles.
Pay attention to the appearance of four words in your self talk: I CAN & I CAN’T.
I can will get you up and dancing, and will inspire others to do likewise.

What’s your definition of a control freak? Anyone who lacks enough influence.
Influence: Control that determines Outcome
What goes in, what comes out and what turns out
Influence affects:
Environment
Activity
Results
Based upon our new definition of Wealth, at the Wedding at Cana, Mary is the wealthiest
person there because of her wealth mindset.
Access to Jesus (sitting right next to him)
Confidence (in his ability and willingness)
Influence to avoid debate with the How
How Thinking fixates on what’s missing
Now Thinking focuses on ways it could happen
The World System (and it is a System) seeks to enforce a counterfeit identity: I call it
Victimology. Victimology is:
The purpose of a Victimology is to convince the victims that they are
Rational helpless to the forces outside of them and that they are ‘right’ to act and
Compelling feel as they do. Its intention is to make victims right in their own eyes.
Factual This is contrasted with righteousness, which calls for actions and
Disempowering decisions based upon God’s standards rather than man’s standards.
We are called to resist and reject Victimology:
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of
witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race
God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion
who initiates and perfects our faith.
Whenever you are listening more to the reasons and excuses, you probably have
spiritual squatters and trespassers lurking around.
Victimology gives you a false peace that overrides godly understanding and the call
of the Holy Spirit to overcome.
Victimology is a form of identity theft.
We overcome Victimology by coming under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Influence is the primary function of the Holy Spirit.
God didn’t even create the world without the Holy Spirit’s influence.

4. Get some HSI in your Life!
Mary didn’t get pregnant without Influence.
Jesus didn’t preach a word
Cast a demon
Call an apostle
Without the Influence
After Access and Confidence, you and I are commanded to be the most Influential beings
on the face of the planet.
Mat 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its
flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot
as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot
be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp
is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same
way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your
heavenly father
We are called to Preserve, Proclaim and to Provide a place for the world to experience the
power of the Gospel.
So what happens when we are influential?
Luke 3:21 One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was
baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened,
This word “opened” is a VERY BIG WORD IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.
It is used 77 times…
Mat 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child
with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had
opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and
myrrh.
Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:
and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mat 5:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that
knocks it shall be opened.
Influence is when God’s hand reaches through your life, and what flows out is His Life.

5. God‘s influence flows through the Holy Spirit’s:

Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls
[is] wise.
Prov 13:2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of [his] mouth: but the soul of the
transgressors [shall eat] violence.
Mat 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or
figs of thistles?
Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in
every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Fruit is produced by seeds.
What’s growing inside of you is the result of what was planted in you.
What’s growing in you will determine what is growing outside of you.
If you want some more fruit, start planting some more seeds.
The Fruit of the Lips produces: Praise, Provision and Healing
Pro 18:20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; [and] with
the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Isa 57:19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to [him that is] far off, and to
[him that is] near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
Hbr 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually,
that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.
Spiritual Fruit is the by-product of the Holy Spirit
Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness,
goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Actually there are 10 Fruits of the Holy Spirit… the first fruit is repentance.
Mat 3:8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
False Prophets also produce false Fruit:
Mat 7:15-20 Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but
are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way
they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good
tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t
produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that
does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just
as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.

6. You can’t consistently fake true spiritual fruit.
Here is the Reason Why! True Spiritual Fruit has a long shelf life.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that
ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that
whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Let’s go back to John 2 and the Scene of the Wine
Mary functions in perfect alignment with the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus actually eats of Mary’s fruit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience… and even if the wine shop is
closed – out comes the best wine the Kingdom has to offer!

7. The Discerning of Spirits

Gifts: Recognizing Spiritual Gifts
I know that it seems that everyone is familiar with the 9 gifts above, but since God is
infinite, do you think that He is limited to just 9?
No, if you can do it in a way that distinguishes you and your expertise, that is a gift.
I have two gifts that God uses: I am the Pack King. I can pack more things into a container
than most would imagine. I learned this working at JFK airport in 1975, when we had to
load big 707s with huge amounts of baggage with very little time to do it. It was crazy, but
I got some bizarre satisfaction with the ability to fit one or two more in, when there was
‘no more room in the bay.’
My other gift is I am also the Sandwich King: I know how to make these incredible
delicious sandwiches.
But this entire concept of Gifting goes to speak to something greater. You see, your gifts
are your secret weapons given to you by God.
Your gifts are your means of opening up heaven’s assets and access.

7. When you begin to operate in your gifts (which are not just the nine listed in scripture),
you begin to have an influence on those who accept your gift.
When people begin to accept your gift, your gift will make room for you!
The Work of the Holy Spirit
Salvation
Freedom: Rom. 8:2, For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the
law of sin and of death.
Holiness: Rom. 1:4, who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection
from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Truth: John 14:17, that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it
does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and
will be in you.
Vision: 1 Cor. 2:9-11, but just as it is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has
not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for
those who love Him."
Holy Spirit’s Effects
Casting out demons: Matt. 12:28
Comforting of believers: John 15:26
Reproving the world of sin: John 16:8
Making believers spiritually alive: Rom. 8:11
Making intercession for believers: Rom. 8:26
Invites unbelievers to accept Christ: Rev. 22:17
Conditions for Influence
Contact with the Living Water: Ps. 1:3; Eze. 47:12
Spiritual receptivity: Matt. 13:23
Death of the old life: John 12:24
Chastening (pruning): John 15:2
Abiding in Christ: John 15:4
Christianity began with 12 men.
Three years and 91 chapters later it’s 5,000
That’s influence
You can’t be an influence unless you are under the Influence.

Shows me love a love that’s never too late
12 men under the influence changed a city, that changed the world.

The 8 things that I’ve listed about Influence happen to people under the influence… and
they are the very 8 things that make a leader. That’s why John Maxwell calls leadership
influence… and over the course of this summer we will be studying Lead Like Jesus, using
the Ken Blanchard book by the same title
