Choose fonts and font sizes
•   Fonts: (sometimes called
    typefaces) are sets of characters ,
    numbers, and symbols in a specific
    style or desing.
•   You can change font and font size
    at any time on your slides.
•   It have two fonts: one font for the
    headings and one for the body text.
USING AUTOFIT TO CHANGE TEXT
SIZE
  •   The placeholder boxes, if you type
      more text into them it will fit, the
      text automatically gets smaller.
  •   If you delete some of the text so
      that there is more room, the text
      once again enlarges, up to its
      sefault size.
APPLYING FONT STYLES AND
    EFFECTS
•   The text can be boldfaced or
    italicized (called font styles).
•   Underlined of formatted with other
    attributes such as strikethrough or
    shadow (called effects).
•   Use font styles and effects to
    emphasize text on a slide.
CHANGING FONT COLOR

•   An easy way to change text
    appearance is modify it´s color.
•   When you hold the mouse pointer
    over a color box, the color´s name
    appears in a Screen Tip.
•   Powerpoint provides an almost
    limitless selection of colors that can
    be applied to fonts.
•   In the colors dialoge box, you can choose
    from dezen of standard colors or create a
    custom color.
•   The defference between a theme color
    and a standard color is apparent when
    you switch to a different theme or color
    scheme.
COPYING CHARACTER
FORMATS WITH THE FORMAT
PAINTER
• Format Painter is a tool that copies
    formatting from one block of text to
    another.
•   It makes it easy to apply the same
    formatting to multiple blocks of text.
•   If you want to copy a format simply
    click the button.
•   To copy a format multiple times
    double-click the button.
•   The Format Painter can copy not only
    character formats but paragraph
    formats such as alignments and line
    spacing.
SET INDENTATION

•   Indentation controls the horizontal
    spacing of a paragraph, much as a
    line spacing controls its vertical
    spacing.
•   There are two indentation settings:
    before text, applies to all lines in the
    paragraph and a specialty setting that
    varies according to the paragraph
    type:
•   Hanging: a revers indent. The first line is
    revers-indented by the specified amount.
•   First Line: a standard first-line indent.
    The extra amount on top of what is
    specified for the Before Text indentation
    setting.
•   (None): this setting removes any special
    indents for the first line.
CREATING NUMBERED
LISTS
•   PowerPoint enables you to
    create numbered lists to place a
    list of itemized information in
    numeric order.
•   Numbered lists are used for
    procedual steps, action items,
    and other information.
•   For more control over the numbering
    format, click bullets and numbering
    on the gallery.
•   You can use a dialog box to choose
    what number to start the list with,
    change the size of numbers, or
    change their color.
INSERTING A WOEDART
GRAPHIC
• You can change style from

  WordAtr gallery.
• You can also modify the text

  of the graphic at any time.
CHANGING THE WORDART
FILL COLOR
•   You can change the fill color by
    using the color for the current
    theme or any other available
    color
•   You can use any color on the
    Theme Color palette to make
    sure the object is coordinates
•   You can also choose from the
    Steandard Colors pattle.

•   You can “mix” your oun colors.
APPLYING A TEXTURE FILL TO
WORDART
•   Textures are graphics that repeat
    to fill an object with a surface that
    resembles a familiar material.
•   The texture graphics are specially
    designed so that the left edge
    blends in whith the right edge.
CHANGING THE WORDART
OUTLINE COLOR
• You have the same color

  options as for changing a fill
  color.
• The text outline theme

  colors palette also allows
  you to remove the outline.
APPLYING SPECIAL EFFECTS
TO WORFART
•   You can apply special effects to
    your WordArt object
•   These effects can also be applied
    to the other object types, such as a
    drawn lines and shapes
FORMATTING TEXT WITH
WORDART STYLES
•   You do not have to insert a
    wordart graphic to use the
    wordart styles.
•   You can apply worart styles to
    any text in a slide.
ADDING A TEXT BOX TO A
    SLIDE
•   Text boxes can de used to place
    text on a slide anyplace you
    wnat it.
•   You add a text box to a slide
    and then insert text into the text
    box.
RESIZING A TEXT BOX
•   Text boxes can be resized
    to make rooms for the
    addition of other text boxes
    or objects or to rearrange a
    text box´s contents.
Adding a text box to a slide

•   If you want more control
    over formatting applied to
    a text box, you can use the
    shape fill and shape
    outline tools to set the
    formatting for a text box on
Appling special fills to a text
box
•   You insert a picture and apply
    a gradient color to a text box.
•   You can choose from several
    preset color combinations in
    the formatting shape dialog
    box, or create your own color
    combinations.

•   Texture and pattern fills are
    alternatives to plain colored fills.
•   A texture fill repeats a small
    graphic to fill the area; texture
    graphics are specially designed so
    that the edges blend together and
    it looks a single graphic.

You can apply the same special effects
to text boxes as you can to word art,
drawn shapes, and other objects.

•   If you are going to create lots of
    text boxes in a presentation,
    there are ways you can save time
    in formatting them.
Orienting text in a box

•   You can change the text
    direction in a text box so that
    text runs from botton to top or
    staks one letter atop the other.
•   Orienting text boxes can be a
    design enhancement for your
    slides.
Setting the margins in a text
box
•   Power point enables you to
    set the margins in a text
    box.
•   Margins control the
    distance between the text
    and outer border of the text
    box.
Changing the text wrap setting
for a text box
• Depending on the type of
  the text box and the way
  it was created, it may or
  may not be set to wrap
  the text automatically to
  the next line when the
  right margin is reached.
Aligning text boxes on a slide

•   In addition to aligning the text
    within a text box, you can
    align the text box itself with
    other objects on the slide,
    including other text boxes.
