4. There is a small button on either side of the C-arm that says
Low Dose (see image below), just push it. If the Doctor
complains about image quality we can turn it off.
We can reduce patient dose and scatter dose to everyone in the room
significantly by using it. This setting should be utilized for OR cases
such as pin insertions, screws, and line insertions, where crystal clear
detailed imaging is not absolutely crucial. We should try to get in the
habit of utilizing the Low Dose feature on all cases. Even while using
fluoroscopy the low dose feature can have a great impact.
