4. Group Policy is an infrastructure that allows us to
implement specific configuration to users and
computers.

5. Let’s have a look how to create
a starter GPO

6. Step-1:Open server manger and
select Tools menu→ Group policy
management

7. Step-2:Expand Forest →
Domains → Domain controller

8. Step-3:Right click on Starter GPO and
select new or Create Starter GPOs
Folder

9. Step-4:Type new Starter GPO
name and click Ok

10. Step-5:Right click assignment
and select Edit

11. Step-6:Expand user configuration→
Administrative templates Then Select
Desktop and required Items from the list

12. Step-7:Double click on Prohibit
adding items and select Enable then
apply → Ok

13. Step-8:Double click on prohibit
deleting items and select Enable
then Apply → OK

14. Step-9:Refresh tab of the
Group policy management
Wizard

16. Right click on Group policy
objects and select new

17. Type name of the New GPO and click down
arrow of source Starter GPO for required
starter GPO

19. Right click domain controller and select link
an Exiting GPO and select Group policy
objects

20. We can see the GPO Link

21. Now we will see the process of
creating GPO backup

22. To create GPO Back Up Right
click on exiting GPO then click
Back up

23. Specify the location

24. Now we will see how to restore
GPO from GPO backup

25. Right click on a GPO and click
on Restore from backup

26. Specify the location of GPO
backup folder
