Capital projects regularly exceed budgets and tourism is declining while dependence on international business grows. - Key problems are poor financial planning by government, overspending, an over-reliance on international business and customs/payroll taxes for revenues, and taxes that hit lower income workers harder. - The Alliance's economic plan is to commit to spending less than revenues through a 5 year debt repayment plan, use sound judgment and transparency in spending, promote new industries, find new revenue sources, and review taxes to help lower income residents.
