2. The Game
 Pontification is a 2D side-scrolling platform game for:

Xbox 360
 It will be developed with the use of a number of open source
facilities, such as: XNA | Farseer Physics Engine
Mercury Particle Engine | Gleed 2D
 You control the spirit of the recently deceased Father O‟ Brien a
pissed off priest who has a score to settle with the Catholic Church
 Through possession of various characters and objects you meet
along your way, you must overcome a series of hazardous puzzles
and threatening enemies to bring down the system of lies within the
Church

3. The Story

4. Father O‟ Brien
 A life long servant to the Catholic Church, has just „left‟ the real world
an hour ago (death by peanut allergy – a very disappointing end!)
 Expecting angels, choirs and the works, Father O‟ Brien stirs from
unconsciousness only to find himself surrounded by a vast, vacant
wasteland with nothing but the clothes he died in...oh and his collar!
 Discovering a business card tucked into his pocket he quickly
retrieves it and begins to read the following:

5.  Sick with excitement, he turns the card ready, to receive his
„revelation‟ and sees…this:
 A blank card with nothing but a tiny symbol on it and nothing…no
revelation, no adoring angels, nothing except in tiny fine print at the
bottom of the card he reads:
“If you are not satisfied with your afterlife revelation,
Please seek Human Resources located in the Vatican HQ”
 He knew the symbol was familiar – The Vatican City coat of arms!!!
OK…Now he‟s pissed and not the enjoyable kind!
