4. Cause of formation of G7 countries
• In 1967, Arab countries came into war with Israel. USA
president Nixon and Western countries supported Israel. In
this war Israel won.
• 1970’s - In retaliation to that Arab countries came with an
embargo in oil supply which lead to Oil crises, food inflation
and economic instability in USA and western countries.

5. Four nations USA UK France and Germany started informal meeting
in 1973.

other.
• So, looking on these factor G20 was created.
So that sustainable growth between countries
can established.

All three are developing countries –
moving forward the agenda of global
south.
It functions as secretariat as there is
no formal secretariat and works on
agenda taken on G20 summit.
