 Tendinţă de suprapunere cu leadership-ul
Druckner (1954):
 Leadership-ul= a face ceea ce trebuie
 Managementul= a face cum trebuie
Bennis (1985):
• Leadership-ul= face ceea ce e bine
• Managementul= face lucrurile bine
Covey (1989):
• Leadership-ul= stabileşte dacă scara este aşezată pe
peretele potrivit
• Managementul= ascensiunea pe scara succesului
 Fayol în 1916 (apud Gazendam, 1993) :
◦ Prevederea şi planificarea (examinarea viitorului
şi construirea planurilor de acţiune)
◦ Constituirea structurilor organizatorice
◦ Conducerea -prin menţinerea la un standard
ridicat al performanţelor subordonaţilor
◦ Coordonarea -prin corelare, echilibrare, unificare
şi armonizare a eforturilor
◦ Controlul - prin supraveghere şi îndrumare.
 Abilităţile conceptuale - capacitatea de a
gândi strategic şi de a lua decizii pe termen
lung.
 Însuşirile umane - capacitatea managerului
de a se implica activ în rezolvarea conflictelor
care apar între subalterni
 Abilităţile tehnice - obligativitatea
managerului de a cunoaşte detaliile tehnice
 Constantin (2004, p.189) – „capacitatea de a
influenţa alte persoane în scopul atingerii
obiectivelor organizaţionale”.
◦ liderul formal – influenţa asigurată de poziţia sa
ierarhică
◦ liderul informal - poziţia este dată de o anumită
competenţă, care nu are legătură cu poziţia sa
ierarhică (autoritatea sa morală).
 liderul - are viziunea, stabileşte scopurile şi
planurile de acţiune
 managerul le transpune în practică (Hersey,
Blanchard, Johnson, 2001; Levi-Leboyer
apud. Zlate, 2004).
 scopul managerului este atingerea
obiectivelor organizaţionale, iar aptitudinea
de a lucra cu oamenii reprezintă mijlocul prin
care acesta îşi atinge scopul (Constantin,
2004, p.189).
 Top manageri
◦ Au în subordine toate nivelurile organizaţiei
 Middle manageri
◦ Au în subordine atât executanţi cât şi manageri
 First manageri (de primă linie)
◦ Au în subordine doar executanţi
