- 31. “I want to see my association bring speakers and presenters that I cannot get at the local level. ”
- 32. “ Too many Association Ed Directors hire the "safe" instructor who everyone loves. Generally agents will love the instructor who doesn't challenge them and tells them that doing things they way they've been doing them for 20 years is ok. It isn't. We have to adapt to survive. Focus on the learners who are there to learn to survive.”
- 33. “ Make sure instructors are fluent in multiple levels of practice. They should be able to easily discuss Ethics, Agency, Risk Management and Twitter seamlessly. Find well-rounded, current and relevant instructors. The fact that they've been teaching "forever" is generally not a good reason to hire them. ”
- 34. “I think it is important to stay connected....you need educators that are currently involved in the business. This helps to ensure that the program content is relative and the agent walks away with useful information. ”

- 41. “It's got to be timely, hands on and usable in my business today. What tools should I be embracing to be better? What information should I be paying attention to? Can you be that resource to help me sort and qualify or are you just adding to that "noise"? ”
- 42. “Technology should be interwoven into the training of everyday practices and not just glittery. Doing a "60 mobile apps" class is not relevant. The students never go back to the list and don't know what to do with it.”

- In topics, these are the courses the members suggest you offer – both for themselves and as part of a curriculum.
- The Classroom experience still rules, with a Test being a good thing! Behind that comes Webinars and Video- accessible to most Associations no matter how small – and then the more expensive types of education that would generally be offered by a partner rather than the Assoc itself
- If you’re going to have a webinar, Shorter still seems better, though like the email this is a bit of a red herring – its just easy and though the educational impact is less, every feels that they did something – Generally these events are best for building email lists – something you don’t need to worry about
- Here is where you can shine – just make a quick video to share some message you need to share – and you get a few uses – You can send it out, build a library on the Association web site, feature trainers and speakers, promote upcoming events, and feature members.
