electronic ratio control to existing dispensers to extend the useful life and increase the number of
flavors available on remanufactured equipment
Completed economic analysis to determine optimal use of resources and potential system wide capital
and expense savings.
Working with suppliers, identified reliability issues with fountain portion controls, developed
alternative control design outside of Coca-Cola system, and commercialized the control to save
Wendy’s Team over $1MM in annual service costs, as a result controls were later approved as the
standard control in the Coca-Cola system.
Approved proposal included failure analysis linked to geography, costs/savings analysis of different
replacement scenarios, and risk analysis associated with new technology implementation including
successful lab and field test, development of new supplier audit procedures, creation and
implementation of project plan and training materials, negotiation of product costs and supplies, and
successful sell-in of new control design to customer and account team management
Supervised up to 12 direct and indirect team members including an applications engineer, a beverage
quality assurance technical account manager and 7 Wendy’s operations support managers
With total budget under $15,000 and in less than 5 months, designed and built functional automated
