2. INTRODUCTION
Because it is considered that people receive information through the five senses, it is
necessary to know how this information is processed from the sensorial point of view.
People can receive information and retain it by listening, seeing, reading and writing, etc;
not everyone pays more attention to the same details others do.
VARK is an important model that can help to identify the type of learning style someone
has; VARK stands for: Visual, Aural, Read/write and Kinesthetic. It is very easy because it
counts with a test of multiple choices that you can take and at the end of it, it tells you what
your learning style is; there are people who will get a multimodal style and that will mean
that they are able to learn and process information by more than one way.
It is very important to know what our style is because it helps us to use the right strategies
and complement them or mix them with others that can give an additional chance to retain,
understand the information we receive and provide.
I took the VARK questionnaire and the results I got were the following:
*VISUAL: 1
*AURAL: 12
*READ/WRITE: 8
*KINESTHETIC: 11
This means that I have a multimodal learning preference (ARK). According to the
questions I read, I had the chance to choose more than one answer because I tend to do
things in more than one way.
A multimodal preference means that someone has more than one strong preference; it
tells us that we have more than one way to use our learning to interact with people.
I tend to choose books because people recommend them or because I read they are
interesting and the topics they have can help or can bring improvement to my life.; so I’m
not only using one criteria to make a choice. Another example I can use is when I have to
give directions to people; I rather to go with them and take them to the place than give
them a map or the address.

4. CONCLUSION:
VARK is a tool that helps to determine the learning style we got. The advantage of the
website is that we can take a quiz that will let us know the style of our preferences; it gives
us the results and with them the types of activities we can do or we are strongly to do.
