 Once hired by a company, one must go through 6-8
weeks of ground school.

5. Pre-Flight
 Arrive at airport 1 hr prior to flight
 Must look over paperwork and make any revisions if
necessary, such as different weather patterns or
different flight route
 Wait for the airplane to be ready, along with all the
passengers

6. Flight
 Pilot walks around airplane prior to flight to check tire
pressures. Then they inspect breaks, the engine, and
check airplane for fuel leaks or oil leaks.
 Both pilots test their oxygen masks prior to take off
 Wait for the O.K from flight control, and take off
