4. 1 Attendees of a Health Event in Colorado Were Twisting the Night
Away with Pop Icon Chubby Checker
A Colorado medical group sponsored a huge health event for 2,000 seniors
with entertainment provided by Chubby Checker, the king of the Twist.
During the October 3rd event the medical group gave away more than 200
free flu shots, bone density checks, pulse oximeter screenings, blood
pressure checks, glucose testing for diabetes and hearing checks by
Beltone. Ten physicians were also on site to answer questions. Helping
seniors with health issues was the critical part of the event and having
singer Checker was just the icing on the cake.
