Four-month-old Jameslay Petit is kissed by her mother at Haiti
University Hospital, Port-au-Prince. Jameslay had been at the hospital
for 23 days, receiving treatment for malnutrition. Her father died in the
earthquake and their home was destroyed. Jameslay’s mother and
three siblings are now living in a makeshift tent. Because the hospital
building was damaged by the earthquake, UNICEF is supporting the
hospital’s nutrition programme from a nearby tent.
