IFTTT (If This Then That) is a free web-based service and mobile app that allows users to create chains of simple conditional statements, called recipes. Recipes connect different web services and apps so that completing simple tasks in one triggers an action in another. For example, a user could create a recipe stating that every time they post a photo to Instagram, it is automatically saved to their Google Drive. IFTTT was created in 2010 and allows users significant automation capabilities across many of their online accounts and smart devices.
