Petrol prices cut by Rs 1/litre, diesel by Rs 2
Price of petrol was today cut by Rs 1 a litre and diesel by Rs 2 per litre, the fourth reduction in
rates since July. Petrol will now cost Rs 60.09 a litre in Delhi from midnight as compared to
Rs 61.09 a litre currently, said Indian Oil Corp (IOC). The price of diesel will cost Rs 50.27 per
litre as against Rs 52.27.

SEZs must register with council to avail duty drawbacks, exemptions
The government has made it mandatory for all special economic zones to obtain certificates
from the Export Promotion Council for SEZs and EOUs if they want rebates like duty
drawbacks. "The unit or the developer including co-developer shall obtain a registration-cum-
membership certificate for availing exemptions, drawbacks and concessions," the commerce
department said in a recent diktat.
