Tom Evans, Principal at Lûcrum Marketing, spoke at the weekly Global Product Management Talk on Twitter
Monday, February 27, 2012 using the hashtag #ProdMgmtTalk. Each week, The Global Product Management
Talk is a real time event featuring an expert guest speaker who asks questions of the participants on Twitter in a

INTRO
Many companies understand the importance of product management and product marketing. Some companies
have well defined the roles, however, very few recognize if their actual implementation of the functions measure
up to best practices. Without a system to measure effectiveness of your Product Management practices, there is
no way to identify areas for improvement. We'll discuss a framework for assessing current product management
and product marketing practices to identify gaps and weaknesses. Once the issues are identified, we'll discuss
how to create and implement a plan of action to align with best practices in order to deliver successful products
and services, with a lens to guarantee continuous process improvement.
