  1. Good afternoon everyone. How is everyone doing?
  2. So what is S3 and why do students report that it as one of the most rewarding and yet challenging courses they’ve ever taken? S3 is a nonprofit consulting course where students consult with motivated nonprofit clients. 4 major components make it a success for all stakeholders.1. MBA student team- Composed of 5 students ( 1 MBA team lead, 3 MBA/other grad students and 1 undergrad ) work and leverage each member’s particular expertise, whether it be finance, technology, healthcare, etc. 2. Nonprofit organization- They are asking you very tough, strategic questions facing their orgs. These are mission- critical and complex probs. Clients often say S3 teams are some of the best consultants. They've ever worked with.3. Course instructors- You have access to stellar instruction by Paul Jansen, Director Emeritus, Mckinsey & Co, founder global phil practice and dr.nora silver, Center director, adjunct professor and nationally recognize nonprofit expert. Course is designed to mirror real- time project experience and provides the tools and academic frameworks you need. 4. McKinsey Coaches- You have the opp to get in front of seasoned consultants to set you up for career in consulting or have a real-life project to list on your resume to speak about in your interviews . For example, two team leads sought out this exp. to prepare and leverage their consulting careers. Coaches are instrumental in providing assistance with scoping and are your teams very own thought partner! They also share McKinsey tools and frameworks.
